This page dedicated to all the inmates  who have been murdered  by Correctional Officers with the Santa Clara County Department of Correction at the Santa Clara County  Main Jail in San Jose and the Elmwood Correctional Facility in Milpitas. ( Whether or not they are listed on this web page. )

March 28, 2005, 42 year old inmate, Carlos Garcia died after being Dog-Piled by several Santa Clara County Correctional officers in the County's Main Jail Facility Booking Area at 150 West Hedding Street in San Jose, California.

October 2004, 33 year old inmate, Scott Marino died when his family took him off life support after spending 6 weeks in a coma after being badly beaten by Santa Clara County Correctional Officers.

1995, Joseph Leitner Suffered Brain Damage when Santa Clara County Correctional Officers suffocated him by wrapping his head in a blanket. Mr. Leitner died in a Los Gatos, California hospital after being taken off life support.

Raina Benavidas died  in custody from an acute abdominal infection.  Before her death, she filed a grievance form saying she had been denied a doctor, and might die without medical attention.
